Training and Research

Philanthropic support enables us to invest in specialist training for therapists across the globe and innovative research to underpin all we do and improve future care.

700 therapists received MPC training last year. This equips them to reach an additional 7000 children who stammer. Our team lead a programme of training including Palin PCI therapy, CBT, Confidence and Resilience and Solution Focused Brief Therapy.

Our research contribution has influenced stammering therapy practice around the world. Current projects include evaluating our school aged therapy programme; investigating the temperament of children who stammer; and we are part of an international study into the genetics of stammering.
