SOLUTION FOCUSED BRIEF THERAPY IN USA/CANADA TIME ZONE @THEPALINCENTRE via ZOOM

This two-day training course, which is open to all professionals, will be a practical introduction to the principles and practice of Solution Focused Brief Therapy (de Shazer, 1985; Ratner, George & Iveson, 2012).

Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) changes the focus of therapy from the problem to the solution, exploring what clients want from therapy and using clients’ resources and strengths to achieve their best hopes. SFBT is applicable to clients with a range of difficulties and the team at MPC have been using it with parents, children, teenagers and adults who stutter for many years. SFBT is highly applicable for use in clinical supervision and team meetings.

This one-day workshop will increase your confidence in understanding what cluttering is, identifying and diagnosing it, and knowing what to do to support clients who clutter.  It takes a historical view of cluttering, from when it was first identified as distinctive to stammering through to considering the key writers, thinkers and practitioners in cluttering today.  The focus of the course will be on introducing you to different ways of assessing and supporting people who clutter.
