About the Michael Palin Centre

What we care about

We are committed to and passionate about

  • doing our best to make sure that each person feels listened to, understood and respected
  • understanding each person’s unique experience of stammering
  • working closely with parents so that we understand their child as best we can
  • making therapy fit for each person and what is right for them whether that is developing the confidence to feel that it is ok to stammer or exploring things that can help at the moment of stammering, or both.
  • empowering children, young people and adults who stammer to be confident communicators
  • being evidence-based in our approach to therapy
  • being innovative and creative
  • contributing to the global community of those interested in stammering and cluttering
