Private Appointments at the MPC
The Michael Palin Centre has a private route for families (children and young people) and also for adults. If you live overseas you will need to access our assessment clinic and therapy through the private route. If you live in the UK you may wish to choose the private route in order to be seen more quickly for an assessment or if your local CCG/NHS Trust does not approve funding for you to come here for therapy. Private appointments can take place in-person at the MPC or remotely.
Please be aware that if you have a private assessment then any therapy that you decide to continue with will also need to be paid for privately.
Adults
Assessment
- 3 hours with a therapist
- one hour admin and report writing time
- required before therapy can be arranged

Children and young people
Assessment
- 8 hours of therapist time (3 hours with your child and analysing assessments, 4 hours with parents, one hour report-writing)
- required before therapy can be arranged
- additional fee where separate parent sessions are required (parents living apart)
- additional fee for interpreters if required (£25 per hour)

- for international families travelling to the UK for an assessment: please allow time for your child to recover from jet-lag before their appointment.

Our Helpline, 020 3316 8100, is open during office hours (9am-5pm) and voicemail messages can be left when the office is closed.
