Palin PCI Accredited SLTs
Accredited Palin Parent Child Interaction Therapy SLTs
The Michael Palin Centre trains SLTs from around the world in working with children and young people who stammer and their parents. Some SLTs become an ‘Accredited Palin PCI therapist’ by completing in-depth training in working with children under seven years old who stammer and their parents.
This training includes:
- attendance at a two day Palin PCI course for working with under 7s who stammer and their parents
- attendance at an extra day of skills training
- reading the course manual ‘Palin Parent-Child Interaction Therapy for Early Childhood Stammering’ by Elaine Kelman & Alison Nicholas
- receiving six hours of individual clinical supervision face to face or via Skype with one of the Michael Palin Centre specialist therapists
- developing a Palin PCI skills portfolio
- undergoing assessment to receive the status of *Accredited Palin PCI Therapist*
