Where can my patient get help?
Children and young people
- local Speech and Language Therapy Departments will provide varying levels of support. Specialist therapists in stammering are often available to help parents of young children who stammer. Services vary for older age-groups
- The Michael Palin Centre offers a fully-funded assessment for any child or young person up to 18;11 months living anywhere in the UK. This is charitably-funded by the Stuttering Foundation. Find out how to refer to the MPC for an assessment clinic appointment

Adults
Adults living in Camden or Islington
- self-referral or referral by GP to the MPC for 1: 1 therapy using the below form. No charge
- self-referral to the City Lit if interested in group therapy (adult education fees).

Adults living elsewhere in the UK
- referral to the MPC for 1:1 therapy by a GP with an accompanying agreement to fund assessment and therapy if that is recommended
- self-referral to the MPC if wishing to pay privately
- self-referral to the City Lit if interested in group therapy (adult education fees)
