This two-day course will provide an introduction to Clinical Supervision for Allied Health Professionals, including Speech & Language Therapists. It will support clinicians to reflect on the supervision they receive and prepare those who wish to develop their skills in becoming clinical supervisors.

This online three day workshop will aim to increase speech and language therapists’ knowledge and skills in assessing and treating primary school-aged children. The course will also aim to develop participants’ confidence in the management of this age group. It will be supported by video, discussion, skills practice and clinical resources that will be emailed to participants in advance of the course. This course is appropriate for therapists working with children from 8 to 14 years old.

This two day online training course provides the ideal starting point for developing your skills with children under seven who stammer. Palin PCI is an evidenced-based approach for early stammering which is widely used across the UK and internationally.

This two-day workshop will be a practical introduction to the principles and practice of Solution Focused Brief Therapy (de Shazer, 1985; Ratner, George & Iveson, 2012).

A two full day (or 4 half day) Palin PCI course followed by one extra day of skills training with six hours of individual clinical supervision face to face or via Zoom, through the following year.

This online training course will aim to increase participants’ understanding of the issues involved in working with secondary school students who stammer, their confidence in assessing overt and covert aspects of stammering, and their skills in integrating speech management, communication skills and psychological approaches such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) in packages of care which reflect individual need. The course will present work which can be adapted for individual or group therapy for young people aged 15 -18 years.

This online two-day training course is designed for speech and language therapists (SLTs) who wish to explore the integration of direct stammering management/techniques in working with children and young people who stammer (CWS).

It will be supported by video, discussion, skills practice and clinical resources that will be emailed to participants in advance of the course. This course is appropriate for therapists working with children from 8 to 14 years old.

This online one-day course will explore the potential impact of stammering on children and young people, and ways to support them (and parents) to build their confidence and resilience.  Specific examples will involve clients who stammer however the ideas discussed and strategies explored are applicable to all client groups.

This training course provides an introduction to CBT and its application to work with children and adults who stammer, and other clients with communication difficulties which impact on their psychological wellbeing.

This online training course provides an overview of current research and clinical practice at the intersection of Autism and Stammering, with a focus on working with children under 7 and those aged 8–14. This course explores how to adapt established approaches such as Palin Parent-Child Interaction (PCI) and Family Communication Skills for autistic children who stammer.

This one-day workshop will increase your confidence in understanding what cluttering is, identifying and diagnosing it, and knowing what to do to support clients who clutter.  It takes a historical view of cluttering, from when it was first identified as distinctive to stammering through to considering the key writers, thinkers and practitioners in cluttering today.  The focus of the course will be on introducing you to different ways of assessing and supporting people who clutter.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) aims to help people to live better by increasing how flexibly they respond to difficulty.
